Head around the back of Craig's Hut past Cobbler onto Abbeyard track down East Buffalo onto Humphrey's track and depending on time look for a spot to camp along the river before Wonnangatta. Join Angelo and Club 4×4 for a spring day trip heading out to Cobaw State Forest, near Lancefield. It’s only an hour or so from home. This trip is not for the faint of heart. There are very technical sections, deep ruts and plenty of rock climbing to be had. It will require not only a great deal of concentration, but also a well set up vehicle and knowledge on how to handle these types of tracks. I ran this trip two weeks ago (23rd of September) and we only managed to drive on Alcorns, Mansfield, Muirs, and Pinnacle tracks. We pretty much had to turn back on all the tracks but it was a lot of fun.
