Join Geoff and Club 4x4 to search for some Snow, we'll access the conditions closer to the date. We'll be most likely going from Longwarry via Mt Useful and Mt Selma ending out towards Woods Point. We may also take in Mt Matlock if we get the chance. We'll assess this route closer to the trip date when we know the weather conditions. We will be camping one might above the Slow Line (if conditions permit) so please bring appropriate camping equipment and clothing for sub-zero temperatures. The Boys Trip is back for 2023, albeit under new management! Time for the guys to head bush for some “secret men’s business”. We will spend the weekend at Chaffe Creek Campground on the banks of the Big River (toilet facility available). Activities for the weekend include: - Nice warm fire - Beverages - Talking crap - Optional stroll along the river (there is a short walking track) - Optional 4WD up to Mt Terrible on Saturday to enjoy the view, or possibly even some snow! While the trip officially starts at 8pm on Friday night, feel free to head up earlier or even on Saturday morning if this suits you better. However, if you want to head up to Mt Terrible, make sure you arrive before 10am Saturday. I am hoping to get there at about 3pm on Friday arvo to secure a spot for us. For those interested, we will drop in at the pub in Thornton for lunch on the way home Sunday.
